Girls' Swim Team Finishes 5th at SVL Championships

The Powers Girls' swim team ended its regular season with a 5th place finish at the Saginaw Valley League Swimming and Diving Championships at Saginaw Valley State University.  First-year coach Andy Quijano was pleased with the way the girls swam noting that of the 34 races the Chargers swam in the preliminary round, 30 resulted in a season-best time. 

At the conclusion of the meet, Sarah Kirtek was named as a 1st-Team All-Conference selection.  Natalie Siefert was honored as a 2nd-Team selection, and Allie Dasky was tapped as Honorable-Mention.

Championship Heat qualifiers were: Allie Dasky (6th - 100 Free), Sarak Kirtek (2nd - 100 Fly & 6th - 100 Breast), and Natalie Siefert (5th - 100 Back & 8th - 200 Free).

 Swimmers making it to the finals were: Kristin Ammerman, Barbara Davidek, Rylie Dunigan, Alise Haddad, Morgan Livingston,  Tessa Peabody, Kadie Sardo, and Lexi Webster.

The 200 Medley Relay Team (Siefert, Haddad, Kirtek, Dasky) finished 3rd.  The 200 Free Relay Team (Ammerman, Haddad, Davidek, Webster) finished 7th.  The 400 Free Relay Team (Dasky, Davidek, Kirtek, Siefert) finished 4th.
