SOFTBALL

Coaches

Coach Anderson's Coaching Philosophy:

Coaching is a privilege.  To be able to influence young people at such a formative time in their lives is a tremendous responsibility.  I must prepare them athletically, educate them academically, and help make them better people.  Coaching is not a nine to five job, nor is it restricted to teaching the game of softball.  As coaches, we must never permit our athletes to lose persepective of life's priorities of their faith, family, education, and then athletics.  I truly care about my students and every decision made concerning our softball program will have their best interest in mind.  My primary goals are to establish a program that will stimulate great pride in the community, provide an environment that will allow our kids to enjoy the great game of softball, demonstrate leadership that will instill values and provide guidance and direction, and gain experience that will create lasting memories for the students under my direction.

I have coached and worked the last 14 years at Utica Ford II High School, a Class A Div.1 high school and one of four high schools in the Utica Community School District.  I moved to the Grand Blanc area eight years ago and four of my five children are attending Holy Family.  I look forward to working with the athletes from Powers Cathoic as It will be nice to work with players that have the same beliefs, values, and morals that I instill in my children.
